Reliable Excavation and Site Development

Pond Dredging / Water Features
The Importance of Pond Dredging
Pond dredging is a critical maintenance procedure that ensures the health and functionality of the pond. Using specialized mechanical or hydraulic equipment, we remove accumulated silt, sediment, organic debris, and muck from the bottom of the pond to restore its original depth, control algae, improve water quality and enhance the ecosystem to protect wild and aquatic life.
Mechanical Dredging
Mechanical dredging involves the use of heavy machinery such as high-capacity dredgers, backhoes and advanced excavation tools to remove large volumes of sediment from water areas. Mechanical dredging is a powerful and efficient way to retain the health of waterways.
Hydraulic Dredging
Unlike mechanical dredging, hydraulic dredging uses suction to remove debris. A floating dredge with a super powerful pump sucks up water and muck, filtering out unwanted organic material before pumping the water back into the pond.
Types of Water Features
Water features introduce a wonderful aesthetic presence to any landscape and can provide a unique focal point. The gentle sound of moving water helps to muffle outside noises, and they provide drinking and bathing spots for birds and other wildlife. Most modern water features require a nearby power outlet for the pump. AMAXX has extensive experience in creating water features that are both large and small, ranging from exquisite birdbaths to streams and waterfalls. Here are some examples:
Fountains
These can be small, decorative tabletop pieces or large, elaborate structures that add artistic or architectural flair to a space.
Waterfalls
Designed to create a cascading flow of water, waterfalls add a dramatic and natural-looking element to a garden or yard.
Ponds
These large bodies of water add a peaceful presence to any location, and can include aquatic plants and fish, creating a mini ecosystem.
Streams
Artificial streams are used to create a meandering waterway, adding a natural and dynamic element to a garden.
Water Walls
These features have water flowing down a smooth, vertical surface, creating a unique visual and auditory effect.
Pondless Water
A lower-maintenance option where water recirculates from an underground reservoir, ideal for safety and ease of installation.
Bird Baths
Simple, low-maintenance features that attract birds for drinking and cleaning, enhancing the garden’s wildlife.
